Nope. Still not over.
If I thought I had to get creative with birthday's before Covid, I was crazy. Having no where to go is less than ideal. It's a good thing my favorite middle child (as she has termed herself) is so laid back and almost perfect. ;)
Birdie turned 12. It's kind of a big deal. She's basically a teenager. I hope she stays as gentle, tenderhearted, and kind as always. She really does have a gift.
The good news is, Covid didn't stop us from enjoying some baseball! I sometimes get so wrapped up in basketball that I forget how much I love baseball. The being outside, the sun, the dirt, the crack of the bat, the sunflower seeds. The cute twin boys playing, the roar of the best fans in the world, and the waaayyy above average umpire.
When baseball got over, it was time for the work! We went to Winnemucca to help tile a shower. Once there was a good start to the work, Bogey and I took off to the sunnier weather at Stanford. Bogey's got some inner ear issues and he's getting ready for a bone graft. His heart is looking good though. We spent most of our time in the doctors office seeing doctors and specialists, but we did get a dip in the hotel pool! It was a low key trip since all the rioters looted the Nike store. C'mon people! Get it together! Go home, and get your masks on! Leave Nike alone.
Slice wanted a pool of her own too.
Also in June, my dental school going nephew came to visit and show us his new puppy Fenway. I know. It's one of those names you can't help but just feel bad for the poor thing (wink*wink Yankee Fans). The puppy sure is cute though. And as usual, we loved visiting our guy. We miss him and his wife way too much. They just need to hurry through school and come be our dentist.
