Things are getting weird. History classes and stories are going to be boring in the future. No March Madness. No sports at all.
People were stuck at home. Working and schooling from home. Order groceries (except toilet paper and clorox wipes--there's a shortage of those) from home.
Why?
It's called Coronas. Not the alcoholic type, either. It's more like the Global Pandemic type. Basically it's super contagious, and if you get it, you're treated the same as if you had a case of leprosy. You wear this scarlet letter and people don't look at you or talk to you. Even if you've been exposed to someone who tested positive, you're treated pretty much the same.
If there's anything exciting students in the future are going to enjoy studying, it's going to be the homeschooling part.
Let it be known to all who care, I am not a homeschooling mom. I pray I never have to homeschool ever again. By the way, that's with the teachers giving all the assignments. I can't imagine coming up with my own stuff to teach.
In the beginning I had great visions and ideas on how our homeschool would look. I put together a whole schedule with school work, chores, piano practicing, and probably a whole menu full of healthy, organic, meals. Anyway, I knew things had to be organized to function.
We started out strong...
Welp. I tried.
In other QT events, the twins celebrated birthday #8. They were spoiled for a day (nothing new there). Breakfast in bed, and bikes, and pizza (ordered in, of course, because no restaurants are open for dining in.)
Lots of bonding time.
Also in April, we celebrated Easter, and watched General Conference. It was such a boost and comfort to focus on the Savior and hear the words of our living prophet.
