Birdie just completed her first year of t-ball. She kind of improved throughout the season…she would have done better had we at least been to half of the games on time, instead of twenty minutes late. One day, we were rushing to the game and we were almost to the park when Birdie finally piped up and said, “I didn’t wear shoes!” We would have been on time if shoes weren’t important.
Who just gets in the car without shoes on?
Apparently, Birdie does.
Thank goodness her coach didn’t punish her to harshly by making her run laps after the game (Thanks Aunt Renae!). Wearing the helmet was punishment enough.
She wouldn’t take her fingers out of those holes when she ran. (Many a'fit were thrown in anticipation of wearing the helmet.)
Tough ‘D’.
So, she couldn’t hit the ball off the tee at first (#notsonaturalathlete)…it’s fine. She can now. (kind of. ;)
The highlight of every game was playing with her cousin.
