Just as a forewarning, this reunion was so good, I’m breaking it up into parts…so, grab the beverage of your choice (or mine…and bring it to me:), sit down and read away…. (Plus, be prepared for more to come!)
After we said “good-bye” to Jourdon, we needed a way to drown out our sorrows, so we did what any family would do. We went to the court, and played some hoop.
Even though we had just had birthday cake (Happy Birthday Doug!), it didn’t seem to slow anyone down.
We played for a couple of hours (and when I say we, I really mean, the older cousins and guys played. The moms were on the sidelines doing cheers…ha ha! No we weren’t. We just chatted. #lovemysisters)
And the photos ensue….
No, nothing justifies the tears like a hard game of 4 on 4.
It’s good to see the ol’ genes taking flight…
The older cousins were sad to see Jourdon leave too…so, they took their emotions into their own hands and started a little game of their own. No one could discern the sweat from the tears, on either end of the court.
The teams “making their plan”.
The youngest cousins passed the time racing, doing gymnastics, playing hide-n-seek, and Frisbee.
Here’s a quick story. While I was taking this picture (below) Gimme said, “Mom, after you take this group one, are you going to be taking singles?” She certainly has that pose perfected. Heaven help me. Someone get a ball in that girls hands!
When Double Bogey becomes a soccer star, we’ll all have Dallin to thank.
