Laundry Labor

After gathering, sorting, washing, drying, and folding the laundry I asked Birdie to help put her clothes away.  I handed her a single item and asked her to put in the appropriate drawer.

She put one hand on her hip, turned to me and said,  "Mom!  Why are you doing this to me?  This is too much work!!"

Apparently I'm not quite up to date on the child labor laws.

Anyone care to inform me on these?  The last thing I need right now is CPS knocking at my door...
