Chillin'...

...like a villain...

...which is a good thing considering we've had burning fevers (Thank you H1N1) for the past 2 weeks!

This swine bit, though a tad over done by the media, is a wicked little thing. Gimme started us off with 3 days of fever and coughing, followed closely behind by Mulligan, who had as much schnoze coming out of his eyes as his nose. Very pleasant. Two days later, Birdie wakes up with her eyes sealed shut and a fever of 101.

Two weeks, two ear infections, and 4 eye infections, later, we're over it and we're heading to church today.

Ace took Gimme to Utah this weekend, so I've been single parenting two babies. Mulligan is smarter than I give him credit for. All day yesterday he kept saying, "Mom, I'm sick." Of couse I'm panicking, thinking H1N1 is rearing it's nasty head again, so I start whipping out the thermometer and Tamaflu, but then Mulli says, "No mom. Not medicine. I need to watch PBS kids."

Confession: For the last two weeks, my kids have done NOTHING but lay on the couch, floor, bed, etc. to watch TV.

I'm sure it was the key to their getting better. Besides, Gimme is learning to tell time, When Calliou comes on, she knows it's lunch time, and when the "naughty shows" (the ones for older kids, i.e. Word Girl, Fetch, etc. --which I don't know why she calls them naughty, she's never seen them before...) she knows it's time to get ready for dinner. Hey, the Indians used the sun...not everyone needs clocks and watches!

Glad you're over the nasty swine flu. I got "the shot" so hopefully I won't catch it.
