February

February.  The longest month of the year, with the least amount of days.  It's mainly just cold, and the days drag on.  We're sick of the snow by now, and we just want spring, and an occasional ray of sunshine.

Apparently the sunshine is too much to ask for, so instead, we're doing all we can for a snow day.  And by "all we can", I mean we're following the strict recipe for a snowstorm or a frozen pipe or some reason to stay home.  Sleep with your pajama's backwards and inside out and a spoon under your pillow.  So far we're at a 2 for 50 (or however many days are in February) success rate.

At work, I think I'm hilarious because I tell the students they can call me "Boss".  I'm about the only one that laughs about it.  Some of the other teachers get all mad about it.  It's just for funny.  I'm not actually a boss of any kind.  Anyway, for Valentine's day, one of the classes did a heart attack on the library doors.  I thought it was so sweet.  These are some of the funny things that were written on the hearts.

It never hurt anyone to "suck" up to the teacher.  They know what it takes to be my favorite.

Another reason it's so hard to wait until the end of February is because that's when we celebrate this little "Slice" of Heaven!  She turned two.  Terrible twos?  Who came up with that?

Our little Slice brings us nothing but happiness, smiles, and laughs (mostly...like after the clean-up).   She is talking up a storm (sometimes in her own language, but we get most of what she is saying), and she loves Nike, Mickey Mouse, and Frozen er, Anna and Elsa.  She'd win any lip sync battle to any song from that movie.

Bogey and Double Bogey are still hooping like crazy.  It's been so fun sticking with the same team for so long.  These players are some of their best friends.   Their skill has come a long way since Kindergarten when they played for the first time.

We're still loving this team.  We look forward to every home game.  It's been a solid tradition.  These guys are pretty much our BFF's...I mean, they don't know us, but boy do we know them.

Thanks to them, we have so much more to look forward to in MARCH. #madness
