A Year in the Life

Bogey and I took a quick trip (and by quick, I mean Tuesday-Thursday) to Stanford for his cleft team visit and echo.  We hopped on plane, stayed at the Stanford Guest House (our favorite Hotel) and spent some time at the Nike store--you know, the usual CA trip. ;)

Wednesday morning we got an early start on our clinic appointments.  We saw lots of doctors, nurses, and specialists.  It makes for a long, long day, but it's nice to see these people that we consider friends.  They do so much for us and we are so grateful we were led to the best of the best!

Because Bogey was such a champ throughout the whole day, he got to choose a "treasure" from the chest to take home.  He was pretty excited.

Even more exciting though, was that he is doing well enough that we don't have to go back to CA for another YEAR!!  It's been a long time since we've been able to say that.  No upcoming surgeries, etc.  Just another checkup in 365 days.  We feel so so blessed to have this little boy in our lives.  He is a constant reminder of answered prayers!

Of course I have mixed emotions about not having a valid excuse to get back to the Golden State--I'll miss the Nike store terribly.

Until 2017....
