Playing "Pretend"

The last couple of days, I've been trying to limit the amount of TV time and computer time for my kids.  I've been trying to encourage them to play other things, or heaven forbid, read a book.

Finally, Mulligan and Birdie wanted to play "Phineas & Ferb"

(Thanks a lot Ryan and Christa family for introducing us to that show! :)  Being the sweet little gems that they are, they invited me to play.  I figured I could role play if I had an easy part that didn't have a lot of moving around (you know, like the narrator).  I haven't watched many episodes of  Phineas and Ferb, but I figured the kids had seen it enough to give me a fitting role.

Here's how it went down.

Birdie:  I'm Rainbow.

I totally complimented Birdie on what a great "Rainbow" she would be because she was so pretty etc. She was feeling pretty good about her part.

Mulligan: I'll be Multi-Man.  Again, I fed him a lot of great words like, "Oh, you're perfect for that part!  He's a hero isn't he?  Oh, you'll be great for that!"

Me: What would be a good part for me?  Who should I be?

Birdie and Mulligan together: "It's the Control Freak!  You're going down down down!"

Should I be offended?

Or proud that they know me so well?  :)
