4th of July--Blanchard Style

Because we were at church, we missed the annual Stone Ridge Golf Cart Parade, but I did happen to see these carts out our window after we got home, so I couldn't resist a quick picture. Everyone that has a golf cart decorates it and then there is a little parade around the neighborhood. It's short, but it's fun to see how creative people are.

I tried to take pictures of the kids and the events of the day, but my camera wasn't charged, so I just got these few before the battery died:

Apparently getting a picture of more than 2 children looking at the camera and smiling is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE.

You see? The proof is in the pudding (or in the pictures above). Heaven forbid they all look at the camera and say "Cheese!" on the count of three.

**Please note Gimme's bike gear (the gloves, knee pads and elbow pads). She has also recently learned to ride a bike. Because of her frequent riding, the back tire on her bike wore down and popped after she ran over a rock (cheap thing). So on this day, she was actually just riding a 3-wheeler...a Fisher Price 3-wheeler...which she would never fall off or injure herself, but like they say, "better safe than sorry!"

Later that night, after the neighborhood BBQ, we watched some fireworks. For being the "Little town that thought it could", this display was actually quite impressive. A big step up from last year!
