Today I asked Gimme if she wanted to write her letter to Santa. She was so excited. She sat up to the counter and wrote S-A-N-T-A on her paper and then she asked me to write the rest. I asked her what she wanted to say to the big guy, and this is what she told me (this is word for word from her...no coaxing from me...)
I hope you give presents to everybody--all of my friends. This time for Christmas I want a princess and a princess computer (we just got home from Toys R Us, and she had to leave the princess laptop behind...very traumatic for her.) I hope you give one to someone who doesn't have one (she paused, looked at me and smiled very sheepishly...) someone special. I hope Tanner (her cousin who had his appendix out the day before Thanksgiving) gets better and that you go back home safely.
Love Gimme
p.s. (She had more to say a few minutes later): I hope you give Birdie, Daddy, Mulligan, Mommy, and Gimme good presents, and I hope you don't drink coffee. I hope you have a great house and I think you should have a great day. I hope you have good drinks--not coffee--and that you have a great living room and that you don't drink the things mean people do. And I want the Activity Pad with Dora or Princesses with paints and scissors and don't forget the princess laptop.
I don't know where the obsession with the drinks was coming from, but she's been mentioning often around here lately. Anyway, I think Tanner should feel pretty good that he got a shout-out between the princess wishes!
Hopefully Santa Clause is a frequent follower on this blog; if not, no sweat, I'll be sticking this letter in the mail with the 4 other pages of pictures she drew.

Holy anti-coffee teaching goin on at your place!! A few too many "word of wisdom" FHEs perhaps. Thing is, Santa probably needs a whole lot a joe to deliver sooo many presents!
I'm sure you know where to address Santa's letter to if you want the goods delivered--not the North Pole, but Nana's, right?! Kaysha's a darling.
That has to be one of the sweetest letters Santa will get this year. What a thoughtful girl. She's so concerned about Santa's health and well being! Too cute.
