“And here We Have Idaho”…

…”Winning her way to fame.Silver and gold in the sunlight blaze,

and romance lies in her name.
Singing, we're singing of you,
Ah, proudly too,
All our lives thru, we'll go
Singing, singing of you,
Singing of Idaho.”

Written by McKinley Helm & Albert J. Tompkins
Composed by Sallie Hume-Douglas

I’m not sure what “sunlight” the songwriters were referring to, but nonetheless, if you lived here during 4th grade, and had Idaho history,  I hope this song is stuck in your head.  It will assist you (as it is me)  in enduring these winter months. #winterishalftheyear

You’re welcome.
