Picture Blanchard:

Well, we've been here for a week now. It has been so great to actually live with Ace again. We really missed him.

As I've been getting my bearings a little, and learning where everything is, I couldn't resist a few pictures (almost a million, posted below).

And so begins my plea for visitors:

This was my first thought about Blanchard:
(Congested is one word to use...tiny and claustrophobic also come to mind.)

But, so far the place seems pretty friendly,
and I'm not sure anyone could ever get lost. It's a pretty tourist friendly place.
There is plenty to do in--
--for instance, there's always
or who's up for a little Basic BINGO? (I mean really, let's not let it get TOO complicated)
(and, we don't care how you get here; hitch hike, bike, or what not...just GET HERE!)

On a nice day, a little walk around the place is always refreshing. Especially these sights:
Don't get me wrong, I don't ALWAYS have to get out. There's plenty of entertainment right out my kitchen window.
I haven't seen knickers since I was in the second grade!

And shoot, if I ever get bored, why not get creative?
(now that's "dog-gone" crafty!!)

But let's get serious. This little town isn't strictly for pleasure. There's more to it than that.

There's this:
but I don't know what purpose it serves. However, I'm sure I could head across the street to the local Library to find out.

(children's section)
Just because it's a double wide trailer, doesn't mean it's not FILLED with all kinds of info.

And nothing screams OFFICAL in a town, like the local Post Office: Now certainly when you come to visit, you'll want to cut out some time for this:
It's Spirit Lake's (our neighboring town) "Happenin Place!" Plus, they have "Sunday Jam Sessions"--who wouldn't linger longer?

Now, put your mind at ease. If all of the hustle and bustle in Blanchard is too much, there's always the
Where we live really is a beautiful place. Wherever we are, having these three close by makes it feel like home.

(come visit!!)

Glad to hear that you are getting settled. Love the comic commentary. Blanchard may be small, but it looks like you will have plenty of writing material.
